Would be curious to know what the water temperature is in the back of the creeks by Sunday or Monday afternoon. What you are bringing up is not out of the question.

the water temps at Lake Fork for all of December has been in the low 60's and up to the mid 60's by 3 in the after noon.. The only problem we are going to have is, I doubt they will spawn in the back of coves with the water in draw down.
It's supposed to go down another 5 feet and hold until at least mid-January. And then we will have to have a large rainfall to get it back up prior to March and April spawn time.

Mexico doesn't count, Doug... Neither does TWok, because you can always catch them on that there. roflmao

It is a weird year for sure. Wind and Warm; I'll be out looking for some green or brown fish, not sure where yet.

Are you saying they are drawing the lake down to ten foot below pool??

Good info gentlemen I should make the break in run on my new to me boat on Fork next week. I'd been thinking this might be going on but was also preparing to fish deep. Sounds like I need to break out a jerk bait.

So, what lakes have January spawns? I'm not looking for wherever that picture is from or really even where to go right now because I don't have the time to go. Just kind of curious because one day I may be able to go try some of this stuff. I've seem them get ready to spawn about this time on rayburn but it got cold and then got really cold.
