It’s just not TW, it is anywhere you use your card. I’ve been hit with a card I’ve not used and a balance of zero for over two years. One day last week I got a bill from them in the mail saying I bought almost $400 from some online cyber company. These hacks are just better than those trying to protect us right now.

Well that sucks. I haven’t been notified yet and my card hasn’t been used yet. Wondering if I should just go ahead and get a new one? Thanks for posting .

Every website with credit cards will get hacked at some point. When it happens just keep an eye out and let your card company know so you can get the charges reversed. I try and keep one card just for online so it doesn't screw up my autopay accounts when I have to change the card numbers (which happens at least once or twice a year it seems). Can't imagine how much banks lose on this [censored]...

I have always used PayPal and haven’t had any issues. I thought that was the point of PayPal…keep your banking info secure and act as a safeguard against fraud.
I have only logged one complaint with PayPal. They investigated and made a decision to give me a full reimbursement of my whole $17. Haha. It wasn’t really about the money. It was more of getting the scammer flagged/caught.

No fraud charges on my account but I just received an email from my bank saying that they are sending a new debit card because mine is at risk. Thats never happened before.
3 transactions with TW in the last 2 months and no email from them stating my info was breached. I did contact them to delete my card info that was saved in their website and they did so, they should’ve deleted everyones info once they were aware.

Does anybody really think there is a fishing site that will never get hacked. If so, I would love to hear about it.
As someone said, any on-line site that accepts credit cards will eventually get hacked. So you can jump on the hate TW train or take some measures that will make you safe (or at least safer). Like using one credit card designated to the TW site and no one else.
They have hands down the best site in terms of selection .

They have hands down the best site in terms of selection . Defending them is stupid, they were told by multiple people that they had a data breach and continued to deny it. They mailed letters on Dec 16 to notify people, really???? They are gonna “mail” letters. I would think they have many emails in their system, why wouldn’t they email people, which is a much quicker way to notify. Yeah, their selection is great, apparently their ethics are NOT.

I agree with you that they should have communicated the breach as soon as they were made aware of it. So yah, they get a failing grade on their poor response, No argument here. But I have a CC dedicated to their site and no-one else, That limits the damage and makes it easier to spot fraud and correct it. I'll stay with TW for now as they do have a great selection and I can find stuff on there I can't find anywhere else.

My Greenlight card, citi card and key card were all compromised. Arizona,Florida and Utah is where they were having a good time. All cards used at TW for a few years. Still waiting for my new Greenlight card. I was never contacted by TW letting me know.

My biggest problem right now is finding a place that has all I need. I went to Academy and Bass Pro today and as usual, they leave a lot to be desired. The hook up tackle has some of what I need, same with land big fish and discount tackle, but none of them have it all. TW is the only one that does

I've been hacked over the years but luckily for me I deal with a bank that stays on top of this and will shut down anything that is suspicious and contact me. I also buy most of my tackle from a small mom and pop tackle store that is kind of local that has a really huge selection of almost anything I need and if they don't they'll get it for me ASAP and I can pay with cash or card. They could easily be hacked but they aren't a huge retail giant with enough data available to interest a hacker so they will likely fly under the radar and never have issues.
