So im getting ready to rewire my livescope box along with my 1242xsv screen to the Sealite battery adapter. The cable that is attached to livescope box and fishfinder will be no longer than 5 to 6 feet of 10awg. I will have a 30amp 10awg fuse attached 6 to 8 inches from Sealite wires. I noticed the Sealite wires are 14awg. Am I going to have problems running 10awg to the 14awg Sealite 20v dewalt adapter?

is the adapter fused?

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

The adapter only has the red and black wire coming off it. I will be adding a fuse to it.

Won't be a problem. I have mine wired the same way without the fuse. If you use the crimp type connectors, get one big enough for the 10awg wire, yellow I believe, and double the 14awg wire.

I wouldn't think it would cause any issues or drops at that short of a length. You can buy step down butt connectors that will be for 10 awg on one side and 14 awg on the other. They usually have the heat shrink ends too.
