Hey folks, was on Rayburn yesterday and saw this massive tree poking up offshore Norris, in an area a lot of guys run fast heading north.

Coordinates N 31 degrees 07.381’ W 094 degrees 09.172’

Keep an eye out as this tree is 3’ across and would cause serious damage if hit.

curious why lake patrol or wildlife & fisheries wouldn't mark this tree somehow.

Good that you posted this mudman

You can publicly mark in on the navionics map if you have the app, https://webapp.navionics.com/#boating@6&key=_eq_Erv_pQ there are widowmakers marked on other lakes on those maps.

Good looking out.

I think that one has always been there. Not many people realize it but there are singles like that or little groups scattered around the lake. Getting to this 3ft low and below you will start to see more and more.

Yep, that is probably just one of many that are still just inches under the surface.

Just one more cast!

Always been there. It comes out anything over 3 foot low. There are similar ones a foot deeper or so in front of Veach.

They don't mark it cause they'd have to mark the other 100 that aren't visible right now until it drops more. There's a whole line of them over to west wood.

You could probably run a fishfinder around that one and see some lower units or pieces.

You’ll see more and more stumps on Rayburn as the lake drops in plenty of places folks run in.
