I have an uncle and his kids (my cousins) that own a few pawn shops, they are NOT someone that it would be a good idea to try and rob.

If your going to have a biz on that stretch from loop 12 to the tollway it’s common knowledge that you better be armed. Heck, even the folks at Pollo Regio over there have guns behind the counter. Lol! Doesn’t get much more hood than that!

Are there laws protecting owners of these types of businesses?
Meaning that due to the type of business and items sold at said business, the people working behind the counter can just cap away as needed?

I'm not going to get into the specific legal statutes but if you feel you or your employees are threatened, you may defend with deadly force. Plain and simple.
