Kickin around the idea of a Lowrance 522c or something in that price range, got a bunch of Cabelas points and gift cards so kinda would be like getting one half off. Can't seem to find/remember a gps in the boat so I figure if its built into the graph I'd be good to go. Anybody got any suggestions or advice on the color units?

Losing some brush piles to rising water so I guess its time I get with the technology age....

I have a new LCX 27C and I can actually see it in the sun really good. I have a LMS 480 before this and it was really hard to see in the sun and was constantly changing the contrast and brightness. Well no more as this unit is a real pleasure and I highly recommend a Color unit, also don't forget the Navionics Gold Maps and in HD premium if you fish on a lake that they have the HD on. They show every 1' elevation change so you see everything. Hill tops and such that I never saw on the regular Gold edition are just standing out on this map. Places that look like a huge bullseye with many circles show up where the old map showed nothing but a blank spot.

Hope this helps,

I just purchased a LMS 520C kicked around the 522 but found out that it only uses 2 to 4 sats, where as the 520 uses up to 12, the 522 is a internal ant, where as the 520 is an external. On the 522 if you move the unit it will have to acquire its position again, if you go under a bridge and are fishing the pillars you may lose your signal, I think the external ant is the way to go as the 522 is a first year unit and needs alittle more work done on it, mind you this is what the guys at Cabelas told me, I'm far from a expert.

Got a 25C last year. Best idea I've had to date. Just make sure you don't get an internal antenna on any model you purchase. I've read lots of bad reports on those models.

My podnuh has 2 322C with internal antenna I think and they do lose signal under a bridge, but heck I don't need to know where I'm at on a bridge anyhow. Just started pouring again here, amazing!!!!

Check the Bargain Cave before you buy anything, and all prices are negotiable in the cave also. I bought a lcx136 for $200 after talking them down from $319. They give you a 30 day guarantee on the stuff outta there also.

I bought a Eagle 500c for 289.00 in the Bagain Cave last week.
They also had a lot of combo units. It is well worth the trip.Try the online Bargain Cave but they dont have the selection the regional stores have.
