He fled the scene of a hit n run. Says he didn’t know a Harley rear-ended him. Hm. Not sure I’m buying the story.

That must be embarrassing to rear-end someone and they don't even feel it.

The mayor was probably coming home from a trip to Liquor City. We had a Mayor in 2003 got a DWI. He eventually resigned.

That must be embarrassing to rear-end someone and they don't even feel it. Somewhere around the late '70s a friend's mom was in her '75 Cadillac Fleetwood, with a trailer hitch, got rear ended by a Honda or Toyota. She said she never felt it.

It's a really sad story, but the interesting thing to me is that a hit and run typically means YOU CAUSED the accident. From the reports I have heard he did not - someone pulled out in front of him, he crammed on the brakes, and the motorcycle hit him from behind (deemed following to closely). But a closer look at the transportation code would have required him to remain - a fender bender, it appears not, but serious injury, definitely.

It's too weird. Something is up with the mayor.
You are not a good or nice person.

That must be embarrassing to rear-end someone and they don't even feel it. The blame (and shame) there could fall on that particular rear end.

Crazy story I heard was that he saw a car swerve to miss him and thought they had actually hit his truck and he says he tried to follow them but lost them. I hear the motorcycle rider that hit him is in critical condition.

If a Harley rear-ended my F250 . . . well, I guess I'd wonder what the little bump was. But if a Harley rear-ended a Prius, the driver absolutely would know it - the rider probably would be in the car by then anyways..

His story sounds very believable to me. It sounds like it didn't take them very long to locate him and he blew a 0.0.
