How many have the new Humminbird version of live view and is it worth it? When i upgraded graphs I bought a gen4 in anticipation of it being good. I hate to have to buy a Garmin just for this tech.

I talked to a local distributor and he's not expecting live transducers until march. Said HB is running light on mfg due to covid. I have cash in hand to buy one, but not seeing anyone with any availability unless you get on a waiting list. I was expecting to buy on dec 1, but that was a let down. Looking forward to using it, still think the 360 is better suited for me. But if you can have both, all the better. Not going to change to Garmin, will wait and get it when the stars align.

If anyone wants to sell one, or has HB live transducers IM me, cash is king.

I’ve had alot of issues with mine freezing up, taking 10 minutes to come back on, heavy interference. If I had to do it all over again I would have just bought the Garmin

I installed mine. Not sure this makes a difference in this case, but I had Slade Dougharty set up my entire system again once it was installed. I have not had any issue with screen freezing, interference, or losing connectivity, as others have mentioned.

Some would argue that it is not as good as the competitors, and they might be right, but mine works as it should. Shows fish, bait, brush etc I just need more screen time to learn how to use it to the fullest of its/my abilities.

My decision to purchase was driven by fact I run Humminbird, and didn’t want to buy additional graphs to run forward facing sonar.

Slade did mine also, twice. Haven’t had it out after round 2 yet to see if it’s better.

Mine froze up first time out was ready to sale it first in first hour, had interference couldn’t see my bait but last 10’. Called Slade he said he could fix all my problems. Hopefully after he gets done doing his magic I will like it. As of now not happy with it.

Thanks for the replys. Pretty much what I was thinking. Where does Slade live and what does he charge to help set up?

I’ve had it running for 2 months, no issues so far. Knock wood. I see fish, bait and my lures. I’m happy so far.

He lives in Williams Creek on Fork, usually likes to meet at Fisherman’s Cove. Great guy
