Are they worth it over standard deep cycles? My electronics battery is RIP and debating to spend the extra for the AGM. These last duracells lasted me just about 3 years which is good for what i paid. Wondering if you all have tried AGM, and found it worth it. Basically seems like theyll last longer right?

Had Duracell AGM's from sams club in my last rig for almost 5 years before I sold it. They still held a charge like new, Just switched out lead acids to Ionic Lithiums yesterday on my new to me rig. Not to sound cliche but they are a game changer. Fished a club tourny today and stayed on the tm for almost 8 hours and batteries were still at 81%

50 amp Ionics running a 36v Ultrex on a 920 Phoenix. The LIthiums weigh 15# each, the lead acids they replaced were about 65# each

I also changed from the dual pro charger to the NOCO charger.

Very cool. I've been planning to get lithium and I know a few people with the 50ah that say they are plenty, but for some reason I am nervous going that size.

Wind was calm this morning but quickly picked up to 15mph or so by 9am and I fished till 3. Good enough for me. Some say they need 100's for fishing current but thats not an issue with all the lakes I fish. Also with the higher voltage of the Lithiums I my Ultrex runs the same speed one notch lower. I normally leave it on 4 and found with the lithiums it pulled the same on 3. By end of day I didnt have to turn the speed control up either to compensate for the batteries getting low.

For AGM...you have 2 choices...budget or break the bank...both have great power but the warranty and increase in CCA might sway you one way over the other.

Budget (my personal preference...have 3 of them in my boat)
Sam's Club Duracell 31M

Break the bank
Northstar 31 M
Batteries + X2 31M

The deal with buying the 31dtmagm from SAMs. You only get 18 month replacement.

Batteries plus you get 30 month replacement. Yes you are paying for it.

Great to hear this! My Ionics came in today. NOCO charger as well. Can’t wait to install them tomorrow and give them a try.

No expert here, but I did get Ionic’s rep on the phone. I also run an Ultrex 24V 80 pound troller. He said the 50ah were plenty on the troller unless you didn’t want to charge for a full weekend of fishing or were really hard on the troller, then get 2 100ah.
For the starter and all my accessories he recommended the 12v 125ah.

If you tie those batteries for the troller together to create 24V I don’t think you can run your electronics off of it.
