Just in case it gets cold…. What is your go to shoe / boot for cold weather? Looking for something warm but maneuverable for in the boat and running the TM. Weather resistant would be nice. I have some Simms boots I won from Wired2Fish several years ago. They are really uncomfortable and not warm. I usually just get warm/heavy socks and my usual running/training type shoe. Might ask Santa for a pair.

i wear flip-flops year round...keep a pair of socks, and a old pair of house moccasin in a dry box for super cold starts, but usually by 9ish when the sun has been up for a little, the flip-flops come back out...

In Texas, any normal footwear is usually ok with a decent pair of wool socks underneath.

I hate cold feet and have used Muck brand boots for years with good results. Not the generic rubber muck boots used for working in mid, cleaning animal stalls, etc. though. Be sure you are looking at the actual Muck branded boots.

If its under 40 I wear a pair of regular socks with a pair of thick wool socks over them, and if its freezing I put hand warmers between the 2.

If it’s just really cold then I’ll wear some Columbia high top hiking boots that shed light rain and mist pretty easily. If it’s cold and rainy I have some red head neoprene rubber boots that I’ll wear. If it’s above 50 I just go with running shoes or even flip flops. I never sit and fish so If I can keep my core warm and my feet dry I don’t always need heavy insulation.

with me usually just my regular running/jogging shoes New Balance brand with some good socks. I wear my Bass Pro Squaltex rain suit and that usually keeps my feet warm no matter what. If it's sub freezing all day I'd wear oversized knee high rubber boots with one good pair of cotton or wool socks. the extra air space helps store heat and increase blood flow through the feet. I learned this working in the food industry in freezers in my early twenties. It's how the folks that do this for a living stay warm.

those toe warmers are greatest thing since sliced bread....duck hunted out of my boat many days wearing crocs, wool socks and one of those toe warmers underneath ball of each foot......also if its a really cold day fishing,I use those seal skinz gloves with a toe warmer stuck to inside of glove both in palm of hand and back of my hand....

It was 25 degrees this morning at takeoff. I fished with KSwiss tennis shoes and a pair of socks. My foot comfort never even occurred to me today. My face and hands took a beating till about 9 o’clock…even with gloves and a wool hat.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
