Do you make your own hookbaits? If not, now is the time to start! A unique hookbait can be a real edge when fished as a single offering or as a visual target when fishing over bait. I have been working on “ironing out” the details of a good boilie. There are many different ways to get the perfect boilie and ins-and-outs of boilie making are endless Here is a video of what’s been working for me! Have you ever tried home rolling? If so, was it a success or failure? Will you be giving it another go? Let me know in the comments!

Give a man a fish he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and you can get rid of him for the entire weekend!

Nice post. The cost of commercially prepared boillies was all the reason I needed to not use them. Never tried to roll my own but Nacho Libre always swore by fresh ingredients for the orphens in the movies and most probably appreciated by our carp friends! FRESH INGREDIENTS! oh yea!

Making boilies is without question a time consuming process but nothing beats catching on your own homemade baits. I've got all the bits and bobs to make boilies at home but have only gone through with it a handful of times. They are quite a bit cheaper than buying store bought which is a massive advantage if you're trying to chum with them. Thanks for sharing Andrew!

Great information. Where did your get the ball roller gizmo? I have searched online and can't find anything like it. I have access to a private lake that is full of carp and buffalo and would like to start fishing for them. PS: I found the Boilie Maker Board on AMAZON. Now to get busy.
