Hit the Vine again today. Surface temp was 56.5 and bait at 20+ feet...and did I say bait. I've NEVER seen that much bait at any lake. Literally millions of shad everywhere. Still was able to catch about 20 decent size crappie with largest about 1.25. All jig fish.

Way to go Crappie Guy! my next venture is Grapevine and I have been watching this Forum for a while and fished GV before caught crappie at the marina on the north side of the lake in the spring did pretty good but I listen to Capt: Omar, he said basically the same thing now I most of the time fish Tawakoni in fact I was there yesterday and the crappie had lock jaw I mean they just would not bite a couple of days before that they were slamming the jugs anyway GV is closer to me than Tawakoni and I will be going there also, "Good Fishing to you".
