This may be a dumb question but will ask it anyway. I was asked if I had triangulated the Humminbird units on my boat. This was asked by someone that is fairly knowledgeable and I had never heard it before, so I said sure they are but I got to wondering what the hell was he talking about. Help.

Not too smart on Hummingbirds but maybe he was referring to pairing the HB with your trolling motor, if it's a Minnkota (?).
Beyond that... ask him and let us all know.

I’m guessing he meant are they all linked. Triangulation is how we used to find our brushpiles before gps.

Well after doing some checking I don't think the guy was as knowledgeable as I thought he was. It's not something that needs to be done and probably shouldn't have to be done. Triangulation was used a lot before GPS.
