And all of a sudden......they pop up asking for money. They always get the middle finger from me. It's ridiculous to me that people think that's OK.

I'd bet most families has em.... Mine does....do nothing to help themself but always has that hand out!

every family has them , if you have the money and fully understand that in giving it to them ---you will NEVER be repaid ----cool . Otherwise , just ask them why and get a good laugh at how they try to explain .
Then ask them to show you their cell phone ---chances are they have a brand new iPhone , all the latest clothes and gear , possibly a new car ?

Fortunately, no. I do have some cousins that are a bit down on their luck at times, but they do not ask for help. If we find out they need help, we'll give it, but they generally try their hardest to get out of it. One in particular is a single mom and has a learning disability. Hard worker and I'm very proud of her, but she does get into a bind from time to time. Her sister, however, just got out of county lockup while awaiting a drug possession with the intent to distribute charge...she gets no help at all from us.

I do have friends and churches I used to attend that do tend to remember us when they need money. Yeah.

Ill give it when I got it to loose unless there just a straight up bum . Never made any sense to me in helping somebody that won’t help themselves . On a side note you tell those bums no the first time they usually don’t ask again.if you do it once they never stop asking then your the arsehole for some reason when you finally do say no 🤣🤣🤣

I don't have one of those in my family, but my family is pretty small my side is me wife 2kids pgr and mom, moms side is mom sister bil and niece and two nephews none have ever asked for a dime.

I tell em'... I'll put em' to work and pay them a fair days wage for an honest days work. I actually have a nephew that will come work when he's a little short and I pay him fairly and in cash.

50+ cousin from NY hit me up on facebook telling me he plans to move to LA and live in my grandma's house. He needed a little help though. I asked how much did he need. He said 1400 bucks. I said a ticket don't cost that much. Said it was to buy a car cause he wanted to have a car when he got to LA. All of us cousins pretty much ignored him. He's in Houston now saying that him and his facebook fiancee are homeless. MAN GET A JOB
