THSBA derby there this Saturday. Look up RC Structureman on this forum, I hired him for 1/2 a day, He’ll show you. The lake is treacherous, but after running on pad from about as far north as he cared to go and then to the dam I felt a little more confident. Then he decided he wanted to show us the west arm of the lake and the TXI Plant. We got to the timber and then idled another 3/4 mile to it. The best advise I can give is watch your electronics closely for timber and depth changes. The lake is full of quality fish. I believe his name is Thurman, he’s a retired police officer and has fished it for 20+ years and really knows his way around the lake SAFELY! As stated, it’s a hazardous lake to navigate so be careful. Is he the one that works at Blakes boats?

Usually people just say their special spots are dangerous, now they want the whole lake to themselves! You’re right. Everyone just point the boat and HAMMER DOWN!!! When ya tear the engine off the back of the transom, I’ll buy y’all’s graphs that didn’t show the stump until it was 6” from the lower unit. Honestly, I could care less if ya tear up your boat…I’ll just smile and nod. Just a joke to poke fun at people saying the lake isnt dangerous.

Yes my name is Thuman but I don't work at Blake's Boats. I just frequent there allot, I have been guiding on RC for a number of years now, 20 to be exact.
