Usually lay down between 8-8:30. Asleep by 9. Up at 3 to start the day.
People hate me because I wake up ready to rock every single day while they drag their a$$ to the coffee maker. I'm already conquering my day.

LOL, not a scam. I drink the OJ to help with my BP. I have a cup of coffee between 6:30- 7 here at work. Coffee jacks me up & I can not have energy drinks, those things send me off the charts.

Reality. What a concept!

Why are you going to bed so early and getting up so early?

Usually go to bed around 9pm and have the alarm set for 5:30 am. Typically get a good 5-6 hours of sleep. Seldom use the alarm. Seldom feel rested.

In bed around 10:00, I fall quickly to sleep. Awake around 3:00 to start obsessing about work, but I stay in bed. I will fall back to sleep about the time I have to get up around 6:30.

I head to bed around 9:30. I'll watch some netflix, read a book, or chat with the wife and see where that takes us. Usually asleep by 10:30pm. Alarm goes of 6-6:30 am depending on if I'm working out in the morning. Buy a fitbit versa or sense. They have an awesome sleep tracking function. Tracks your time in light, deep, and REM sleep. Plus the number of times you get up or are restless. If I get a score above a 60 I can function okay for the day. Above a 70 I can function really well. Above an 80 I know it'll be a rockstar day. I rolled with two black belts last night at jiu jitsu class so I got beat up pretty good. My body felt like I got hit by a bus, so I was fairly restless last night and my score wasn't as good. The biggest thing I notice is alcohols kills your REM sleep.

Anyway, in my opinion of the three pillars of health: Diet, exercise, and sleep, sleep is probably the most important. Anything you can do to optimize sleep is going to pay huge dividends in your life.

Typically in bed by 9 or so, read about 30-45 minutes. Get up at 6:45. Wake up a lot during the night but seem fairly rested. I am not a morning person.

Why are you going to bed so early and getting up so early?

Well, because I get so tired when it gets dark outside for some reason. I generally have to drink coffee to stay up and finish a football game that starts at 7pm, no matter how exciting it is. Also, I love my bed a whole lot. I wish I could stay up later but I've been doing it this way for prolly 10 or so years.
