An understatement..... But we stuck with it and put a nice box of fish together Sunday....
I had Tommy and Mike aboard for a great day of crappie fishing on beautiful Lake Houston. It was another tough day of catching with the muddy waters and wind but what we lacked in setting the hook we made up with chatting and learning side imaging, live scope and taking in the beauty of fall on our ole lake. We fished around 30 piles in several areas and found fish in all spots but getting them to bite was tougher than usual. We still ended up with 22 thick back slabs with a few over the 2lb mark and 2 magnum sandies. Tommy also hooked into what I firmly believe was a giant flatty that ran into a pile and got off and left the line all slimmed up....Thanks for the great day on the water guys....

What lures did you use to catch those fine fish?

Black/chart has been a solid color pattern and the bait I use is Limits Tackle 1.75 stinger tail.... They don't require a lot of adjusting on the hook and one bait will put a limit in the boat.....I pair that bait with a Limits Tackle 1/8oz unpainted pill head on a #2 sickle.....

Thanks Sk. Straight tail soft plastics make up 95 % of the shapes I use for most fish species. Nice thing is that you don't have to rush the retrieve.
Again, congrats on a great catch!
