 Daughters first fish

I took my 6 year old daughter on her first fishing experience yesterday. It was at Braunig Lake and it was a fishing clinic for kids 6 to 12. She had a blast and surprisingly she was a very quick study. She only had to see a snell knot get tied once and before the instructor knew it, she had another one tied. Then it was time to fish. The bite started slow but the kids were soon catching little bream. I wasn't able to take any still shots but I did get a few movie clips. Unfortunately they are not digital so I can't post them. Not to brag or anything but she outfished everyone there. Even the 5 older boys. Now all she talks about is when will I take her fishing again. Life is good so enjoy your kids while there still young and want to hang out with you. Take them Fishin and get them HOOKED.

good stuff sounds like my lil girl, took her fishing for the first time last weekend and she loved it! heres a pic of my wife and daughter holding her first fish

There is nothing as exciting to me as my child having a good time fishing. I'd take that over my own fishing fun!

Go to TPWD and there is a section for angler awards. Look and you'll see a guy to email (Joedy Gray)
Email him the info and photo and he will send her this cool TPWD FIRST FISH certificate
they are cool
