Used to be in the food service industry myself...worked for a few places that had a "No Tip" policy. It was amazing to get the feeling of being tipped, but having to turn it around and provide it back. Several times, they would get offended and want to talk to management. What we would do then, is put into our donation collection or used it to buy a homeless person dinner.

One time I had the worst experience from a celebrity...let's say they were once on a late night show and has a massive car collection. The person was a PRICK! Made you feel like you were dirt under unwashed feet. Had that @sshole offered me a tip, I would have refused and told them buy some manners.

When I was a waiter and bartender, I've been left religions pamphlets with the obligatory, "This is worth more than money" BS. I'd have to admit that XTians are the second to the worst tippers.

Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason, there are definitely trends in tipping, diet habits, etc etc. Between groups, men tip women better, women tip men better, certain age groups tips better, people who have worked for tips in the past tip better. After my dad was discharged from WW2 he worked as a waiter and a cab driver through college. He let me know real quick when I started going out to eat, dates etc that if you cant afford the tip you have no business eating out. It was a big deal to him.

When I say blessing I always give money and it normally goes above and beyond tipping and is not dependent on the service given.

I know who the first spot belongs to, but it also depends on what they are tipping for. When it comes to cars, they tip really well, but you can’t take it to the bank! You can drink it, eat it, even smoke it, but you ain’t putting it in your wallet.

Plumbcrazy- why not let us know what place this is and where. Maybe the TFF can drop in and bring exponential blessings to this lady. I’d drive a reasonable distance for it. I have $100 bill with her name on it.

Many businesses require that all tips be shared equally among the wait staff. Occasionally I will ask the deserving person when is/was their birthday. I will give them $20 or $50 for their birthday and reinforce that it isn't a tip but their birthday present.

I like that idea. The whole idea behind tip sharing is bunk.
