If you're looking for just some fun fishing (or a bunch of fillets), Grapevine is the place you want to go until the really cold weather sets in. In the next two months, the fish will be found in 15 - 25 fow, ON THE BOTTOM. Larger baits (in lieu of smaller) will work best wormed (bounced) along the bottom. You don't need minnows this time of year....as long as you have black/chart or white/chart jigs. Watch for the birds. Good luck

right about that! My wife and I have caught just under a hundred sacs in the last two trips there. Both were in the last week and a half. Upper end of the lake, north shore, rock piles in 16 fow. All our bites have been within one crank of the bottom. They're stacked up and feeding heavy!

They are on the North east end,

If you zoom your contour map out a little
and follow the 22 foot line in front of Merull park cove
and back you will find some more They are close to the schools of sandies

The bite has been good no doubt. I am running trips on Gvine if anyone is interested in learning the bite. I have been doing best on hand tied jigs and curly tails drug on bottom.
