Got a problem with the interior door handle on my '97 K1500. It doesn't work anymore. Everything's manual - no power stuff so I thought it'd be an easy (and cheap) fix for the Chevy dealership in beaumont. Sent it in for an estimate for that and to replace a cracked (manual) mirror (just the mirror itself not the whole housing) and was amazed when they gave me a quote of a little just under $500.

So, do you know anyone who could do this kind of stuff for a very reasonable price. I'd be willing to travel, too.

Thanks.

Save your money. You can do it yourself. Its very, very, simple to replace. It just takes drilling out 4 rivet holes and reconnecting the rod to the handle. AutoZone sells the handle for around $20.00, might need painting depends on interior color. Or get the part from the dealership for around $27.00 that matches your color. When I bought my 97 Z71 I had to replace mine and it took me like 20 minutes.
