When will Minn Kota start offering Mega 360 built into their trolling motor lower units? Seems a little silly to have to strap a big pole-transducer to your shaft when you could just have it attached to the bottom of the motor itself, especially since they already offer 2d, Mega DI and Mega SI built in.

Do you have Mega 360? That ducer is huge (and the bottom is motorized and spinning) and I personally would not want it sitting under my troller head. Like when fishing dam riprap and get a crankbait hung, fishing hydrilla, etc.......

I have the old version of 360 on a transom mount. I wish the 360 Mega also came with the retractable transom mount.
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

Not to mention the cost of the trolling motor and the 360 combined to put it where it could be damaged. I like the fact that it is removable when conditions are poor

what about a fishing specialties "down rod system" type set up? Thats what I use for a regular transducer because it made 0 sense to attach it to the TM since I Side Scan a lot while up front. Considering mega and was gonna toss it on one of those.
