When I lift my arm like putting on a shirt or worse when I lift it and rotate, as in pouring water into the coffee maker. Pain is almost at the ball socket of the shoulder and at about half way between midline of the arm and completely forward.

Hop Starting in Jan having both of my shoulders re-constructed using cadaver tendons grafts , both of mine are trash. Any motion involving up and out in front of you is an issue. Example , reaching up and changing radio or adjusting rear view mirror , reaching up to get a glass out of the cupboard.

Washing your hair , handing some one a beer , flippin a jig up under a dock , if bad all of that is painful or undoable.

Pain top front of shoulder and if severe imagine a horseshoe of pain slid over the top from front arm pit to back of armpit.

mine started from my neck to outer shoulder but has now moved to right at the bottom of the shoulder blade, hurts like he77

laying horizontal seems to help a lot but anything vertical or sitting and it is major pain.

sounds like rotator is not the problem.

did it while I was sleeping, woke up one morning and bam. I think I may have partially dislocated it or have another disc problem pinching a nerve.
when I move it a certain way it makes a popping noise like crackin knuckles.

thanks again to the tff medical staff. guess I just have to wait till they read the xrays. at least I have pain meds and muscle relaxers on the way, c'mon usps!

You may want to try to find a good chiropractor in your area. I have had real good luck with them when things get out of whack.

Hop all the above symptoms are true but the pain and cause varies with each individual. I just had my left shoulder done 12 weeks ago and am just now getting back to full overhead reach mode. Side reach mode is about 60% and will take longer. Still have pain at times and am not suppose to lift anything over five pounds for five more weeks. To get a true assessment of you damage you will need an MRI. First six weeks is not good and only slowly progresses from there. I won't be able to fish and set the hook with that shoulder until well past the first of the year to give you an idea of how the healing process goes. Best of luck and holler if you have specific questions. BTW if it is your dominant arm you better start practicing to wipe your butt before you get it done. wink

ruh roh! it's my right shoulder and I am right handed.

sposed to get appts. at chiro, having a ct scan done on lungs and will ask about an mri. all they could do in bonham today was the x-rays.

glad I already have all the blinds out and done for now at least.

gettin old is startin to not be as much fun as they said it would be, can't even yell get off my lawn out here. bang

I had my left shoulder done on 1-20-20 and thought it was never gonna stop hurting when I first came home. I had the right one done on 8-10-20 and I was fishing in SPI on 8-29-20. I probably rushed it but knowing what to expect after the first surgery I was ok. Still some movements that are bothersome but over all much better than pre-surgery.

I had frozen shoulder syndrome in both shoulders, right resolved and left seems to be a combo of that and arthritis.
Hop I don’t see how they can diagnose much with an X-ray if they think this is what they think. You will most likely need a CT scan soon.

x-ray was for chiro to know what metal parts I have in my neck, ct will be for lungs but going to ask about mri or ct scan for shoulder.

wuhan flu has the va all screwed up still, had to see a temporary pcp and she seems to be pretty good, got me in some out of system stuff for the shoulder and lower back problems so will see what happens.

learned a long time ago, never complain till ya have to and so far I have no gripes about my treatment other than maybe a little slow.

oh, she is very good looking, even with a mask on, from india I think. too bad about the 4 carat wedding ring.
