What angler with ties to the NPFL said this on Facebook?
Probably Rob Terkla, he started whining after he got his googan butt kicked every tournament. He definitely proved you tubers are not tournament fisherman

I mean I cashed a couple checks from this year while fishing those tournaments so I don't think its too bad for giving it a go. I also used the profits from those few events to buy a kid with terminal cancer a boat. But you are right I didn't do very well in a few events but it happens. No need to hate on Googan just because you may not understand social media and or just business in general. I know it sucks to see it in every store when you walk in and I don't believe that is going to change anytime soon. Sure youtubers may not be the best at tournament fishing but at least they can all say they enjoy their job. Making money while they fish which is better than working a job you hate that is 9-5. Oh and I don't use Facebook so it for sure isn't me saying anything about that league. Hope you have a great day

Solid reply without going off on the dude. Lots of professional jealousy out there for the Squad. I call it free enterprise and capitalism of our great country.

Rob are you gonna fish NPFL next year since they called you out for talking trash about the organization? Or would they even let you? By the way you read a lot into my post. I really am quite impressed with your marketing ability and making the money you have. Congrats on that.

What niche would you say it filled? I’m not disagreeing or questioning your statement at all. I’m just curious as to what that niche is. I’ve learned a lot more about the behind the scenes of professional tournament fishing this year. Kind of like steroids in bodybuilding if you will. The stuff that goes unsaid or isn’t talked about

I hope he does, personally enjoyed the videos. Not sure why they wouldn’t take the money- I assume his videos had more viewers than the tournament series own videos.

I would say the niche they filled is an invitational style pro level league with a lower entry fee than the Tour.

Any insight you can offer? One of the claims I read was checks from Grand Lake didn't cash, did you have any problems with yours?

I got paid at grand & my check cashed just fine. I’m hearing stuff too, just not speaking to anything without some facts.

Elite was $5k per tourney. NPFL was $5k per tourney. Don't know about MLF.
