My friend just sent me an email saying that he heard on the news that a giant alligator was spooted in Ray Hubbard. Has anyone heard about this? I think he's just jealous that I'm heading to the lake in a litle while and he has to work:) He sounded pretty serious, though.

I heard it on the news as well. They said it was 10 feet long. Must have washed in from one of the flooded creeks

Thats what my buddy said. I guess he wasn't trying to keep me from fishing:) I do need a new pair of boots and that whole chicken in the freezer is going bad anyways. Time to break out the deep sea rod:)

THERE HAVE BEEN STORIES OF SMALL ALLIGATORS BEING SPOTTED DOWN BY THE DAM FOR YEARS, BUT I HAVE NEVER PUT MUCH AUTHORITY IN THESE.

We are in the extreme northern limit of their natural habitat. They just aren't that common because of all the civilization. A few years back they sighted one at Towne Lake in McKinney. Everyone was going beserk.

My coworker (cajun guy) said gator nuggets and kabobs are very TASTY...hehe. With all the heavy rain ya'll been getting up North, hope you dont have to dock your boat on your driveway to get to work JD.

you want slabbn techniques for the gator or for Varner TNT is making a top secret 2.5 oz slab now that would probably be able to hit Varner form about 100 feet Not sure how much impact it will have on the gator tho ... If the lake rises much more I will be able to launch from my driveway

Whats the big deal? There are alligators in almost every lake in texas, especially from here south and east. This is not something new, they have always been there. Just leave them alone, and they will leave you alone. I have heard that they definately have an appetite for jet skiers though...;-)

...for the 10 footer of course...but you ya know the saying about hitting two birds with one...slab yeah, hope you dont have to launch from your driveway, that would be very very BAD...but the bright side is the shad are knocking your front door and you dont have to get up at 3AM...and you got the hottest looking boat on your street. you want slabbn techniques for the gator or for Varner TNT is making a top secret 2.5 oz slab now that would probably be able to hit Varner form about 100 feet Not sure how much impact it will have on the gator tho ... I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!
