Been thinking about booking a trip for next fall but am hearing that there was a significant fish kill and that it may take a couple of years for the lake to recover. Anyone heard this or been lately and know if this is true or not?

I think your mistaken. It wasn’t all the fish that were killed just all the people.

Three of my friends just returned earlier this week and said it was the worst it has been in a long time. One of them has been 20 times and said this was the slowest. They had one 8# fish between them in 3.5 days of fishing.

Apparently it is slow down there right now. The lake dropped real low this summer and I was wondering if the great fishing would be affected.
I am headed there in December, just hoping it improves by then.

Was down there for 4 days mid October. Lake is in good shape as far as water levels. Fishing was slower than normal but my partner and I were able to boat 25-30 fish per day. Average size was good with majority of fish 5 to 6 lbs. Baits must be fished slooooooooooow!

Throw deep divers? Last November we slayed them on DD22 and Scrounger heads.

Checked with 2 outfitters who are currently at the lake. Last fish kill was 2006
