Yep.. had some good times at The Miller hose off. Things in the fire service just arnt the same anymore. Use to spend all day on grass fires or a working structure fire and when we got back to the station the assistant chief would pass the hat around and go make a beer run while we put the trucks back in service. Seems like it all changed when brush trucks went from jacked up 4x4s with big mudders and gas engines to diesel trucks.

When I was a rookie I was told to make a "run" by my captain a few times.


Back the one crisp Benjamin would buy a lot on Lamar...
