Since the governor deployed the TX. DPS to the border, they are arresting migrants coming across for trespassing. My question is does anyone know what their doing with them after they arrest them?

Hopefully sending them to Pelosi's House. Tell her to let them in and have ice cream.

It's not so much of a border anymore than it's a water hazard to be navigated before you surrender and get granted access to our welfare system.

While working in the boarder area I had a conversation with a DPS trooper one night at the Holiday Inn.
He told me that they are taken to a facility, processed (I.D. established, photographed, recorded, etc.) then they are given a (forgot what he called it) orders to appear in court and then they are released.
He said that outside of the facility where all this happens the ground is just littered with the pieces of paper that have the court date. These people are free to roam where they want to on the premise that they "promise" to show in court when they are supposed to.

Depends on the county, in Val Verde (Del Rio) they are processed at a special facility and then transferred to a dedicated facility (prison) to await their court date and deportation once convicted of criminal trespass or other charges. Del Rio doesn't want their town overrun with illegals.

dps is not turning them over to cbp, they arrest and jail them then deport.

we now have a LOT of national guard down there as well (hopefully with baldwin bullets) to stop the next caravan from crossing.

A time, in the not too distant past, the leader of Canada was berating the USA for not taking in all those coming to the USA illegally. So, the answer is obvious. Send all, those we catch, up to Canada; and turn them loose.

Biden is breaking the UNITED STATES LAW. Serious note, WHY aren't the Republicans in Power doing something about this? It's a mess on the border, the state is doing what it can but it's also up to each county to determine their level of involvement. In Texas, the lower courts that handle this are at the county level ( JP and County Court at Law). If a Dem is holding that office then they can choose to not process any of these cases. It's amazing to see how far the Dems will follow their ideology and opposition politics, they reach new levels of insanity each day. The federal government needs to step up and enforce our laws, plain and simple.

Still we have no real investigation in how these caravans are organized and funded.
