I am going to change out my livewell pump which goes thru the back of the boat. What type of sealant should I use to make sure the new motor does not leak into the boat.

3M 4200, don't use 5200 unless you never want to remove it again without destroying the gelcoat.....

If the pump is a cartridge type and the through fitting is good then just replace the cartridge. If its not then consider going to that type and being below the water line I'd use 5200.
