Italian beef yes. The dogs suck. If Tulsa makes the Portillo's expansion list your homies at Coney I-lander may as well just shut themselves down 'cause they soon be history. Not a chance. Its too entrenched in Tulsa lore. I lost my taste for them after living here for 35+ years, but in Tulsa they rule!

The best Chi-kago dog is from James Coney Island. One of my must-stop-at joints every time I go back to H town.

Hope it’s true. Heard 5yrs ago that Portillos was coming to Texas after Warren Buffet bought the franchise but haven’t seen it yet. Als Beef from Chicago came and went after a year. Just hope they don’t put it downtown Dallas but up in the Frisco McKinney area lot of Chicago transplants up this way. Still have a tub in freezer from last visit home might break it out this weekend. Where did you see this article like to read it. Thanks

Good article, hoping they don’t take forever to expand the franchise to Texas. Open at $20 a share and close at $37.40 not bad for one day wish I seen this earlier would’ve thrown in a grand for 50 shares, still might. Anybody with deep pockets that’s looking to buy a franchise should start inquiring about it you’ll make money if ya run it right.

Love me some Portillo's, Vienna Beef brand Hot Dogs are the best, especially the ones with the natural casings. Italian Beef with Spicy Giardiniera is delicious.

Portillo's is awesome. I hope they come to Tulsa, or at least in the DAllas area so when I come there to visit I can go there. It is the only thing I miss about living in the Chicago area.
