First I have a helix 12 g2n, which is not compatible, thinking about going for the helix 15 g4n instead of just adding a 2nd unit. I have an ultrex, will this be a plug and play or will I need anything other than a Y cable? Any feedback will be appreciated

If you want to use the sonar that is built in the trolling motor or the transducer that comes with the new unit you will need a Y cable; If not you will just plug the 360 into the unit.

The MEGA 360 does two things ONLY= Side Imaging and 360, but not at the same time.
It comes with two 10' transducer cables--one for a Helix and one for a SOLIX.

To have DI/2D/Temp displayed on the same unit, you have to connect another transducer with it via Y cable or share those from another unit via Ethernet. It REPLACES Side Imaging on a Side Imaging+ unit and ADDS Side Imaging to a Down Imaging+ unit.

Default when the MEGA 360 is detected is the MEGA 360 alone, makes no difference if you have another transducer connected via Y cable or not. You have to change the Connected Transducer setting to the combo of transducers if you have an additional transducer connected.

The Y cable model is different if you use a built-in MDI/MSI Minnkota transducer or a Humminbird Imaging+ transducer.

So I can’t get depth reading and 360 image on 1 unit at the same time?
