Why is that every set of "water proof" or water tight led tail lights I buy for my boat trailer always have water in them after only a few uses? And half of the LED's are not working at that point. Is there better ones to buy.

I haven’t ever had that happen with two trailers setup 100% LED.
Don’t buy the cheap LEDs from the academy/Walmart.
Buy the ones from a truck stop.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I haven’t ever had that happen with two trailers setup 100% LED.
Don’t buy the cheap LEDs from the academy/Walmart.
Buy the ones from a truck stop. Yeah cause you'd never find cheap cr@p on the shelves there. To the OP, pull the lights not working. On the back side of the circuit board is a dab of soldier for the ground. It's supposed to make contact with the metal backplate. Clean it and the back plate and that should fix your problem. Your other option is to replace them with sealed units.

Each light has 20 or so LED’s, only a few are out right now.

Buy the ones from a truck stop. this ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ the ones in truck stops are a better quality, order online from iowa80.com largest truck stop in the country and has an excellent online store.

eTrailer.com has been good to me when I converted my old boat trailer to LED. Never had an issue with them leaking, fading, cracking, etc.

Bought mine from Mclane trailers in Houston. 6 years and no issue.
