I have always thought scince being a very young boy watching carp being caugt That snag Fishing for carp was just the way that particlular type of fish is caught for eating.
The carp seem to run an area ovef with nunmbers and seems to be the only likelly way to catch them.
I myself snaged a few carp for the black guys who wanted to eat them. It has been many many Years scince then and wont do it again now that I am older. but alot of people who preffer eating carp I suspect still fish in this Manner.

The bigger crime to me is when people throw cast nest in Rivers
wehre they know they will catch game fish.

Put donw the net and pick up the Pole.

As far as carp go catch them how you can if you actually want to eat them. (not for me)

Wrw, I think what really rubbed most people the wrong way in most of these threads was not so much the fact that he was snagging for fish, but that when he admitted it, he also took up the attitude of "Yeah, I do it, what are you going to do about it?"

I think that really pissed a bunch of people off, or so it seems to me.
