I myself snaged a few carp for the black guys who wanted to eat them. It has been many many Years scince then and wont do it again now that I am older. but alot of people who preffer eating carp I suspect still fish in this Manner.

The bigger crime to me is when people throw cast nest in Rivers
wehre they know they will catch game fish.

Put donw the net and pick up the Pole.

As far as carp go catch them how you can if you actually want to eat them. (not for me)

Hehehe...I have a hunch there are MANY ways to catch carp on rod and reel besides snagging...we kind of have a whole section of the forum dedicated to doing just that after all...lol.

I don't think anyone can say they have never broken a law. Maybe speeding, running a red light, not wearing a seat belt, drinking a beer at the game and driving home. Let's keep this in perspective and be reasonable men and women. There are people dieing for our freedom. Something important to consider.

Rules and regulations are in place for everyone, not just for some. If you speed, you are likely to get a ticket just like you do if you rob a bank, convienence store or your neighbor.

If what you are doing is illegal or prohibited, regardless of who is doing the act, they need to abide by our laws just like anyone else and pay the price.

Wrw, I think what really rubbed most people the wrong way in most of these threads was not so much the fact that he was snagging for fish, but that when he admitted it, he also took up the attitude of "Yeah, I do it, what are you going to do about it?"

I think that really pissed a bunch of people off, or so it seems to me.

That is exactly what it was. Not that it happens or that sometimes people do, but "Whacha gonna do. its illegal and I know, but will continue."
Starless summed up the exact problem in one post.
Man, you carp guys got lots of time to think!!lol
