Headed to Sargent next weekend with my wife. Planning on spending a few days surf fishing for a chance at landing some bull reds during their annual run along the beaches. Looks like high tide is around 10:30 PM each night we are there which is a bummer but that's the hand we are being dealt.

Anyone have any pointers or tips on fishing Sargent this time of year (especially during low tide)? Our house will be on the West Side of Dead Caney Lake and we will have kayaks with us as well to fish the creek and ICW.

Thanks in advance.

Wishing you well. Memories of successful trips before all the hurricanes. Remember the skeeter spray!
Also be prepared for the rays and sharks !
Hoping to hear great results !!

Thanks! While I have no interest in catching any rays, I'm sure my wife would be thrilled to see one up close. My plan is to catch some blue crabs in the creek and use them for my primary bait. Not sure if that will reduce bycatch or not, probably wishful thinking. Will definitely posts pics if we are blessed with some nice catches!
