uncle zeek wrote about putting them in a trust or something like that a few months ago. What is it for?

If you buy an NFA firearm (SBR, suppressor, automatic weapon, etc) in your individual name, then the only person who may legally possess or use it is yourself. Can't allow spouse access to it, Can't let your buddy try it at the range etc. If you use an NFA trust or other corporate entity to purchase an NFA firearm, then any authorized person - a trustee or corporate officer - may possess and use it.

I have my SBR in an NFA trust. I can appoint a TFFer as a trustee and have him meet me at the range so he can shoot it (and clean it afterwards!). Then I can revoke the trustee appointment unless I want him to use it again. I can appoint my wife as a trustee so that she's legally able to use it for home defense (yes, I know, she'll use the revolver but that's not the point).

they have pkgs that include the tax stamp/trust/suppressor, easy to do. you will have to pick a dealer to purchase the suppressor (find one with one of their kiosks) and be ready to wait up to a yr. for the tax stamp etc.
