I have a 96 Johnson Fastrike 175.

Need: A Mechanic near Tyler, Texas.
It has a new lower Unit, new plugs, and new (non VRO) fuel pump.

I have had this issue in the past where I do not have enough power to get out of the hole. It was a fuel pump issue and a power-pack issue in the past. I have changed the fuel pump and still have the same problem. I do not know how to test or where to start on the power-pack. I would like to find someone that works on Johnson's in this area I can take the motor to get looked at.

Thanks,

Austin

Man I don’t know in Tyler but there is a great mechanic in Lufkin! He keeps my 1996 150 Johnson FS running like a top! I’ll pm it to you it you want to make the drive. I heard there’s a place in Nacogdoches but I have never used them.

I would imagine we are the place in Nacogdoches he speaks of. We'd be more than happy to get it repaired for you if you elect to make the drive down here.

He isn't lying, it will run like it is suppose to when he finishes with it.
