I usually don't see a difference but there are a few full moons that affect the crappie feeding times.....

Wind direction has way more influence in my opinion.......West is the best, east is the least, north and south you're rolling the dice.

Whistlebritches there's always something we can find to prevent us from going fishing....

Jim I've heard that from my Dad and Grandpa long ago but we still went fishing.....

I've been trying to figure these fish out for years and what I stick to is regardless of the conditions you can always find some fish that want to eat.....

Thanks for the reply y'all.....

You are correct............I don't let it stop me,what I said was a personal observation.

A bad day on the lake is better than most anything I can think of other than a good day on the lake.

Seems to depend on if it is a clear sky, that lets the moon shine brighter thru the atmosphere. also sometimes there are Supermoons, when the moon is closer to the earth and is very bright..
I believe baitfish migrate to the surface and gamefish feed heavily on these occasions.
I always prefer a new moon cycle to a full moon by far.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

+1 I`ve also had success fishing the new Moon cycle with a Green submersible light on a little lake with a Native American name.

I have to agree that "a bad day on the lake is better than most anything I can think of, other than a good day on the lake"

Down here the wind always blows, usually out of the SE, so you make do with whatever the weather is.
