one had a food cart he brought around, footlongs on home made italian bread buns, kraut, all kinds of fixins he could add best dam footlong in the world.
he did donuts in the mornings, things were probably 6-7" across and the best I ever ate, nothing but sugar covered.

Yea, buddy! Bob, do you remember Rex's Boneless Chicken?

Okie city there was a shotgun sams, shakeys, pizza inn all within a mile on 39th street between meridian and mcarthur. 39th was our fri/sat. night drag strip and hang out and their parking lots were our favorite.

Introduced several newbies to that place, I did wonder if the inspectors ever went there. (Other than to eat there) It was really good ! ! !

Shotgun Sams and Shakeys are the first places I can remember going out to eat when I was a kid. I have no idea if they were any good but they were fun. One of them had the dancing animal band? Maybe mice? Way before Chuck E.Cheese.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Bonanza, or Western Sizzlin'. Not saying I miss them or that they were even mediocre at best, but someone has to miss them.

There was a restaurant called Tia's in dallas back when I was a kid and it was my favorite. Wish I could still go there. I have no idea exactly where it was.
