Honda 750, about 80 mph. Tube came out wrapped around the sprocket. Instant brakes... slid through about 100yds of bar ditch. Kept it up straight. New tire, New tube, New skivvies.

lost a trailer tire in greenville on way back from fork. Stopped about 100' infront of a discount tire

Had a blowout on the boat trailer but never on a vehicle. I did have a wheel come off at 60, that was fun. Someone got interrupted stealing my wheels.

blew out a super single on a kenworth on 20 between big spring and midland. was one of the cfi test trucks for michelin, new asphalt, over 100 outside.
sounded like a grenade went off in the cab. it got my attention real quick with about 40,000 # in the trailer.

was doin about 72 or so, truck was governed at 73.

Honda 350, late 70s, about 70 mph, headed to Slaton, near Lubbock on a windy day, to play in a golf tournament. Had clubs across my lap and carry strap over shoulder and neck.. back tire blows, get to weaving and bobbing as wind catches under golf club bag which went from an aerodynamic position to winged for takeoff. Got it shut down but scared to [censored] out of me. Clubs were about to fall out of bag when I finally got stopped.

I lost a trailer tire coming into greenville once. Watched it pass me as I was pulling up to the first stop light.

watched some excellent driving of a big truck on 80 in nebraska. guy running about 70 blew a steer tire, kept it upright and got to the ditch with just minor damage.
I have no doubt he had to have his seat reupholstered.

most of the time if you blow a steer you are gonna lose it and roll, whole lot different than in a car or pickup.

I was on my motorcycle back in the early 80's on an interstate in Florida. Just started passing a truck pulling a trailer and started getting pelted by something. Hit the throttle and got ahead of the truck, looked in the mirror and his trailer was going back and forth into both lanes. Glad the motorcycle had great acceleration, if it hadn't I probably would have been side slapped by the trailer. At 65-70 mph it would have been fatal.

Coming home early one morning after fishing all night in Canyon Lake. Teenaged neighbor sleeping on the passenger side when passenger front tire blew. It ripped out the inside of the wheel well right under his feet and he suddenly woke up screaming. Pulled over safely in the ditch and a pickup stopped behind us. He just happened to have floor jack in the back of his truck!

The majority of high school, weather permitting, I rode a BMW 900 sport. One early Spring day, dad was looking at the bike and said "there's no tread left on that tire, don't drive that thing till you put a new rear tire on it" What the hell did he know right? So one day my junior yr I got out early, went home and changed and zoomed off to work. Zooming down the road 80ish+ going around a major curve to the right I'm leaning that beast over as Ive done many times and heard boom-boom. Rear end shot to the left and I hung on tight riding that rear tire blowout to a stop. Britches check, bike ok check, now had to call dad from a farm house-[censored]. Got a major azz chewing and never drove that bike on a slick tire ever again.

Got stuck on the I-10 bridge over the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge. I bought some boudin balls in Lafayette. Traffic was stopped…for a very long time. The gurgle kind of started even before I hit the bridge. Having to sit there for 90 minutes was all I could stand. The styrofoam container the boudin balls came in was the only option. It was a bad day man.

Okay you went another direction but its a blowout nonetheless.

Coming home from fishing Amistad about midnight. Cruise control set at 60mph. Border patrol gets behind me and follows me for 7 miles 1 car length away then all of a sudden wife says "whats that on the side of the road"? Turns out it's another border patrol agent throwing a spike strip. Got both front tires
