I was just about to post and ask when you hummingbird watchers stop putting food out?

I saw something strange this evening on the butterfly bushes is there a moth that looks like a hummingbird it look like a hummingbird was but was smaller and had antenna White-lined Sphinx moth. We have several that feed on our bushes as well. Neat critters. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-47350-113204-white_lined_sphinx_moth_0870b_ron_dudley.jpg)

Here in San Antonio…last week I had 15 hummers at the feeders. They slowly tapered off to today nada.
Livn a dream, me and Sammy Dog 2300 Bay Ranger, F250 Yammi I would add a UBBCode but don’t know what that is.

Still have a bunch here in the Heart of TX but kinda get the feeling they will be leaving soon. We are down to 4 feeders and it will be a sad day when they are gone. we went through 40 lbs of sugar since March when we hung the first feeder out!

I haven't seen very many at all this year. I usually have a lot flying around the flowers behind the pool and in my garden. I bet I didn't see 10 all summer.

Yep,they gone! I'm slowly pouring my feeders on the ground in RESPECT for my departed homies. But I'll see them again next spring! ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-30685-113272-pou_7153.png)

Movin' south over Baja Oklahoma... DW says we still got one. Neighbor couple houses away had dozens all summer, only a handful now. Another week or two and they'll all be gone.
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.
