Not a "snake lover" but recognize that if there is no danger from a critter it's better to support nature than wantonly kill every critter .

I've had a few pet snakes over the years. Hognose was probably my favorite. When he didn't want to be messed with he would flatten his head out like a cobra and hiss. Pretty cool.
