Can anyone make a good suggestion in the north Texas area for a good doctor to look at a knee? It’s been killing me going on two weeks, I’ve tried icing, using a brace, Aleve and Advil.

Try watching some Youtube videos. Might save you a doctor's visit. Here's one, and there's a million more out there:

Dr. Michael Adams did both of my knee replacements here in Allen. Top notch and also him and some partners built a new Hospital just for Ortho. in McKinney

Prolly best advice, but if that won’t happen, try diclofenac. That stuff is good. Rub it on liberally and often.

I’ve had lots of issues with knees.
Find a dr who will order a mri, without one they are all guessing.
Do not get an injection or start rehab without a mri!!!!

If something is torn or messed up fix it or then figure out which therapy will work best.
Don’t settle for “ it’s arthritis “ or should’ve have played sports…

Go to your primary care physician and get a couple of x-rays. That will tell you pretty quick if it's bone cartilage related. If you still have plenty of cartilage it's something tissue related maybe ACL or MCL and an MRI will follow⁹
