It's an EU thing...In a way we already have negative interest with the fees most banks charge.

I remember when they added a "surcharge" price increase to soft drinks because of the high price of gas...those prices never came back down.

Yeh. I let my kids order pizza the other day. They thought they’d be doing me an”solid” by ordering each person what they wanted. 5 pizzas was $100!!!

I wanted to choke before I took a bite.

I went to the store earlier for paper towels, laundry soap, toilet paper...Holy frick, toilet paper was $25 and paper towels were $8 (6 pack of cheap stuff). As the saying goes....”I could sure use some mean tweets and the prices of 2 years ago”!

I doubt that prices retreat no matter what. Not sure what is causing the price increases on some items, others it is because the input cost has risen due to labor, transportation. Much of it is just because they can and the competition is not keeping it under control.

A friend just told me he was out of the blue called in and giving a $12/hr raise. He was capped out at $53/hr so they did away with that and now pay him $65/hr. They employer also raised the minimum salary for all employees to $20/hr.

So I’m pretty sure wage inflation in that industry will kick off big time.

I’ll probably starve to death before that happens. 😊
