Hi All,
Can yall tell me what happens when all the fresh water from the flooded rivers finally makes it to the bays and gulf. How does it affect the bite. tides, clarity Etc...

Life is short take the kids fishing and camping as often as you can . God,Family , Fishing, work in that order.

makes the water FRESH and runs the trout out. reds can handle it a bit better, but scattered.

tides will be higher for sure with the water flowing in. at least around the immediate area of the river. water will be muddy looking. only thing i've ever caught in this type of water is hard heads, gafftop and sharks. my opinion

Thanks for you input rvrrat14 I am planning a trip to Mustang Island July 15-20 with the family for fishing and camping. Thanks to all the forums for the information.
Next question, do the specs and other fish stack up right outside the bays during this time of flood waters?

Expect ALOT of fresh water coming south soon. There are 4 floodgates open on Lake Travis dumping a TON of water in to the Colorado. The Guadalupe is pretty full as well......

When people realize what is really important in life there will be a shortage of fishing rods.
