I was perusing Sport Fishing mag and notice a blerb on a husband and wife who were infected with Ciguatera, possibly from an Amberjack caught off of the Texas Coast. I have fished Florida more than Texas but thought this was not a problem along our coast. Has anyone else heard of this? Is this more common than reported?

I fish on a 14 ft piece of plastic.

Correction:

It was a grouper, not an amberjack
