https://texasfishingforum.com/forum...new/1/lets-talk-true-anti-vaccers#UNREAD

I posted this thread earlier today and I think if you read through it, the real crisis or problem is that none of us, whether left or right, feel like we can 100% rely on the information we read as we do research or try to find answers. Sure, there will be some people who believe whatever the government or Fauci spew or on the right whatever Trump says is gospel, but that's ridiculous. I'm just frustrated that I cannot find information I can trust 100% to make a sound decision with my health. It's unsettling and frustrating. I want to feel secure and safe and take a vaccine that will help my family, but I'm just not there yet.

I concur, there’s more mis-information than fact, I trust nothing I hear or read. Just have to go with gut instinct

How old and what kinda shape are you in ? Do you have any health issues ? Have you had covid ? It was a tough decision for me, my family and I are not in favor of vaccinations for different reasons, after losing two very close friends and 3 others that I knew from a distance I decided to get the shot, don't know if I made the right decision but I just don't know what you guys would do without me around. grin

My best recommendation is to ask your family doctor what they think.

The fact we can't trust the government is the real crisis.

I trust the govt numbers but then again I find fault in all the critics articles.
If you go by the way the CDC counts deaths and not the way the articles or individuals say they count articles its hard to make a case that their death count is not accurate. I don't think any count is ever going to be 100% but if its off 2 or even 5% that still makes it easy to trust.

Good move Roger. And I know what I'd do without you around..... I'd win more tournaments.

Making generic statements like this and using that as your guide post on whether to get vaccinated is called "research" these days. The govt performs, oversees or is in charge of many aspects of your daily life that make it something our grandfather's would envy in many ways- yet, you can't trust ANYTHING if it originates from the "government"? I guess you never fly on a plane or cross a bridge or look at weather forecast since it originates from a govt agency. I would have to say in general that our govt is typically very functional with a tendency to be highly inefficient or slow to react at times. However, that is usually by design.

In a unique set of circumstances last year, the involved govt agencies mobilized, facilitated and funded the development of multiple paths to vaccines by looking at how to best optimize and avoid much of the normal "red" tape. Every step in the process was given top priority. Time was of the essence and I think the mission was highly successful given the real world data we now have. I guess this makes me a sheeple?
The "science" part of creating the vaccine for Covid was pretty known last year from the outset- it was just a matter of tuning, testing and mass-production. How do you think that the vaccines all arrived pretty much at the same time?

There's plenty of youtube videos, blogs and pseudo news sites that are willing to profit on your confirmation bias. Lots of material on the internet that the Earth is flat, yet people living a few thousand years ago disproved that common myth. Yet today, there are people that will argue otherwise. Wasn't there some flat earther that died in his steam powered "rocket" a couple years ago trying to prove it? He just refused to open his eyes to the truth all around him.
