Monticello Lake late November to early December back in the lily pads in Blundell Bay with a spinnerbaits catching pre spawn bass, average size was about 5 lbs and you could easily catch 50 per day with 2 guys, and they fought like they were on steroids.

I did this for many years until they shut down the lake.

Lake Tawakoni. I have been fishing it since it opened.

Yep.

Ignace is lower right, Ma's hometown. East/west road is Trans-Canadian 17 and 599 is the north road to Silver Dollar.

I fish 4-5 days a week and I don’t have a favorite spot. I have a few that rate pretty high on my list. But not one favorite.

Ever?
Had the entire tribe down at Port Mansfield. Brothers, Dad, Uncle, cousins.
Water had really fallen out, and found a hip deep hard sand drain surrounded by ankle deep grass.
Boys it was on like I've never seen. Mostly flounder, which is always our #1 target.
Not just flounder, BIG flounder.
This was when it was still 15 limit.
Had three over 10 pounds, and 20 over eight. Massive flatties. I filleted fish until 9:00
Watched my dad lose a state record flounder, it was twice the size of the tens, wouldn't fit in his net, and finally screwed it off when it went between his legs and pulled him down. Oh well.

North end of Ray Hubbard when Lavon was releasing lots of water after the flooding in 2015/16. Catfish were schooling like sand bass. You could have caught em with topwater lures. Never seen anything like it before or since. They weren't small catfish either; ranged in size from 2-15 lbs... but no monsters.

That's awesome!!!

Pat, you might know that old ditch just south of Yarbrough pass? The founder stack up in there every year just like that, although not that big that I've ever seen. We were fishing a tourney couple years back and one buddy who is always on the fish told me to run right to that spot first. I anchored my boat right in the pass and sat there like a fat old man who didn't know what I was doing while the other 3 spread out wad fishing. They pulled 20 founder out of that ditch in 30 minutes all on white plastics. Love it when those flounder get in a hole like that.

Venice, LA early September 2014.

I couldn’t move my hookset arm for two days after a day of catching bull red after bull red on medium gear and 30lb braid. My forearm and elbow haven’t been the same since.

Rayburn, where the creeks come into it, during the white bass run. It almost got to be work catching them so fast.

The stock pond at my family's ranch outside of Hawkins.

Lake Comodero Mexico. One afternoon me and a buddy caught 35 bass between 7 and 10 lbs off of one hump. And we lost several big ones or that number would have been higher.
