popr Thank you kind Sir. I just tied a midge but I made it TEXAS size. With there not being any near by trout waters. I traded out the size 14 Aberdeen hook. Then I traded up to a Gama katsu size 8 black octopus hook. I have been having some vision issues lately and cant see the doctor until next month. That was the real reason for going with a larger hook. LOL!!! .

Jim SR I am who and what I am. I was raised the son of an once German now 100% Texan jokester 1960s hippy and her artistic Viet Nam American Soldier. No more or no less. I picked up my mother's weird sense of humor and some of my father's artistic talents.... So they say.... Strange combo I know but with my life experiences and upbringing, it serves me well..... LOL!!! I will be spending more time outdoors when this heat wave subsides. My meds won't allow me much time in sunlight or heat like this anymore. And now with no further adieu.. My version of a neutral buoyance lizard-frog-hopper-popper-wasp/bee-minnow-shad, and or bluegill plastic head jig like snake bug thang. Its actually a size 12 Aberdeen hook with goose biots a plastic head, 3D green eyes, and olive green daubing. The daubing is the material behind the eyes that fills up the head cavity and protects/supports the glass tube rattles placed inside the head earlier. Followed by generous use of thick UV Casting Resen for shaping the head and sinking the eyes in crystal clear pools for a more realistic custom 3D optic effect..... Also.....This fly is built like a tank. It'll out last me I bet-cha LOL!!!!. I'll definitely be tying more of these soon. Be well all.

More biot fun with no specific patterns. I'm just playing with some new goose feathers of a type I have not used before I like them a lot.

Wanna see something funny? Look at this picture from any angle. No matter what... Its looking straight-at-you!?!?!?!!!!! It's eyes follow you. Its even more pronounced in person. But I digress as, after all this "is" about flies... Sooooo I think it could provoke a bluegill into a bite or two. What cha think? LOL!!!!!

I like your ambition, imagination, and uniqueness. Now you need to post the results... Actually Jim SR. Although I am not going out for a while yet, I have a friend that's heading down between Galveston and Corpus Christi to do some wreck fishing. If they see a line of Sargasso they lure fish the edges for Mahi Mahi. They are taking a few of my flies tied with sz 2 stainless circle hooks and hackle streamers with them to tie on as a trailer behind their lures. As soon as I hear something or receive pictures, I'll post em here. That's the best I can offer right now. Also thank you for your kind words.
