Met with new money guy yesterday.

He suggested I give consideration to picking up a bit of gold. Said market is overvalued and getting worse while gold might be a little undervalued.

How many hold gold…and what kind of percentage?

I suspect that a lot of the hedge investment dollars that would have gone to gold in the past are now going into crypto.

I do. Physical metal, preferably mint state pre-1933 US coins. But I'll happily buy circulated coins, modern bullion, etc.

Gold and silver are about 15% of my savings.

Some gold but mainly silver. Zac is one of the ones that helped me get into it years ago. It’s a very small fraction of me overall holdings. I should probably get it to 10% or so.

Got a bunch of Krugerrands that were left to my wife when her father passed. Also a few viles of panned gold flakes and nuggets. Might have to cash them in some day, but mainly just a cool backup to have.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

I moved about 30% of my holdings to gold and silver when dipsheet took office. It’s been a little volatile but it’s performed okay. I was probably a little to early.

I was in gold and silver last year. I made some good money and got out near the peak. I have been thinking about buying again but just read a forecast that was not favorable.

I'm no investor by any means. Work for the man, max out 401K and IRA in mutual funds. For the long term, I just can't see the value in gold. Day trading, maybe I guess if you're into that. Charts are hard to read, I just did a quick search on gold and S&P 500 comparison and this was the first thing that came up. But in both of those charts you have lost value over 10 years in gold, and it get worse the longer you run it out.

That's pretty much my view on gold and silver. I'm not holding it expecting a big return. I'm holding it in case a worst case scenario market crash happens.

If y'all are going to buy gold as a hedge against inflation, then do it smartly. Buy 99.9997% gold bars and hold it yourself.

Anyway else is just stupid! ....and very risky.

my experience tells me you aren't going to make money in the gold and silver market.

those charts show how the market went down but don't show the bounce back.
