I registered for my first BASS Open as a co-angler. Checked status today and I am on the wait list, sent an email and I am #6 on the list. Anyone else have experience dealing with this? Deadline for balance is next week, I have no issue paying it just wanted to see if anyone had experience and whether you got in or not.

If you’re #6 I would guess you’ll get in pretty easily, a lot of local boaters will jump in at the last minute. You’re not out any money if you don’t get in, they’ll refund or you can move it to another tournament. Good luck!

I bet you will get in pretty easy, I bet a few late entries and a few drop out you get in.

When I retire I plant of get back to tournament fishing. Work has pretty much killed my fishing the last two years. I plan to get back to fishing BFL's as a boater and my fish some opens as a Co.

I took 10 years off when my boys got old enough to start playing sports and keeping me busy every weekend. They are getting older and I’m getting some time to fish again, so I’m taking advantage of it.

Is it not full, I thought the Opens had a waiting list to get in on the boater side???

On Monday they had 175 confirmed and I was #6 on the waitlist. By yesterday morning I was confirmed IN. The lady I spoke with Monday said they would accept up to 225 entrants, I believe, but don’t quote me on that exact number.
